Legal Information
1. Terms of Service
Welcome to Lineage2.gold (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By accessing or using our website, game services, Discord, or related community features (collectively, the “Services”), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
1.1 Eligibility
You must be able to form a legally binding agreement in your jurisdiction. If you are under the legal age of majority, you may use the Services only with a parent or guardian’s consent.
1.2 Accounts & Security
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
- You agree to provide accurate account information and keep it updated.
- We may suspend or terminate accounts for suspected compromise or policy violations.
1.3 Rules of Conduct
- No unauthorized bots, automation, hacks, packet modification or exploitation. Built-in gameplay features expressly provided by the server are permitted.
- No harassment, hate speech, doxxing, or malicious community behavior.
- No attempts to disrupt servers, evade restrictions, or abuse staff or players.
- We may take action without prior notice to protect service integrity.
1.4 Service Changes & Availability
- The Services are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.
- We may modify, reset, wipe, rebalance, or discontinue features at any time.
- There is no guarantee of uptime, character persistence, item permanence, or progression continuity.
1.5 Virtual Items & Progression
- Virtual items and currencies cannot be redeemed for cash from us. This does not remove legal rights concerning paid rewards.
- You receive a revocable, non-transferable permission to access in-game features as part of the Services.
- You do not own in-game items, currencies, or characters, and they may be modified, removed, or reset.
- We may correct errors, remove illegitimate items, or rollback accounts when necessary.
1.6 Donations
The server is free-to-play. We may accept voluntary donations to support hosting, development, protection, and maintenance costs.
- Donations are not required to access the core Services.
- Where a contribution includes a specified reward, the amount and reward are shown before payment. Calling it a donation does not exclude applicable digital-content or consumer rights. We do not represent contributions as tax-deductible charitable gifts.
- Donation acknowledgments may change, be rebalanced, be replaced, or be removed as part of server adjustments, security actions, or resets.
- We reserve the right to refuse or limit donations at our discretion.
1.7 Refunds and Consumer Rights
See the Refund Policy below before paying. Nothing in these Terms removes mandatory rights to cancellation, refunds, remedies for non-delivery or defective digital content, or legitimate payment disputes.
1.8 Chargebacks & Payment Disputes
Contact support about payment problems. You may also contact your payment provider and exercise your legal rights. A good-faith dispute alone is not grounds for punishment. We may investigate suspected fraud and apply proportionate security restrictions based on evidence.
1.9 Intellectual Property & Third-Party Rights
We respect the rights of third-party owners. The Services are a fan-made community project. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by NCSOFT or any related entities.
Any open-source licensing (including GNU GPLv3) applies only to our original server-side code or community tools we distribute under that license. It does not grant rights to any third-party game assets, trademarks, or copyrighted content owned by others.
1.10 Termination
- We may suspend or terminate your access for violations, security risks, or operational needs.
- Termination may result in loss of access to characters, items or progress, subject to applicable refund and consumer rights. You may ask support to review a moderation decision.
1.11 Disclaimer of Warranties
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and uninterrupted service.
1.12 Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, characters, or virtual items.
Mandatory Rights
Disclaimers, changes, suspension and liability limits apply only where lawful. Nothing excludes liability or protections that cannot legally be excluded, including applicable consumer rights.
1.13 Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
1.14 Changes to These Terms
We will date revisions on this page and communicate material changes before they take effect where required. We will request renewed acceptance where required; changes do not retrospectively remove rights relating to earlier payments.

2. Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use the Services.
2.1 Information We Collect
- Account data: username, email and authentication information; Discord ID and email when you use Discord sign-in or linking.
- Gameplay data: character data, logs, progression, anti-cheat signals.
- Technical data: IP address, device/browser details, server connection logs.
- Community data: messages or reports sent to staff or via support channels. Payment data: transaction references, amount, currency, payment status and reward recipient. Card entry is handled by Stripe checkout.
2.2 How We Use Information
- To provide and operate the Services.
- To secure accounts, detect fraud, and enforce anti-cheat policies.
- To maintain stability, balance, and improve gameplay experience.
- To respond to support requests and community reports.
2.3 Cookies & Analytics
The website uses essential authentication/security cookies, a preference cookie for your selected game server and browser storage for interface preferences. Where enabled, Cloudflare Turnstile protects forms, and Cloudflare Web Analytics measures page visits and load times. Section 5 lists them in detail. Accepting the Terms is not consent to optional analytics or marketing; any processing requiring consent needs a separate choice.
2.4 Data Sharing
We do not sell personal data. We may share limited data with:
- Hosting and security providers as necessary to operate the Services; Stripe for checkout and payment records; Postmark for account emails; and Discord when you choose Discord sign-in or use the community. These providers also process data under their own policies.
- Legal authorities if required by applicable law.
2.5 Data Retention
We retain data only as long as needed for operations, security, and compliance. We may keep security logs longer to protect the community.
2.6 Your Rights
Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, erasure, portability or restriction, object to processing, and complain to your data protection authority. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw it without affecting earlier lawful processing. Contact support@lineage2.gold; we may need to verify your identity.
2.7 Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect data, but no system is 100% secure.
2.8 Contact
Privacy requests can be sent to: support@lineage2.gold
3. Refund Policy
The Services are free-to-play. We may accept voluntary donations to support server costs.
- Optional contributions are generally final except where applicable law requires cancellation, a refund or another remedy. Contact support@lineage2.gold with your payment reference and a description of the problem; never send passwords or full card details.
- Donation-based acknowledgments (e.g., Donate Medals) are thank-you rewards and may be adjusted, replaced, suspended, or removed due to balance changes, resets, or operational needs.
- For duplicate or unauthorized payments, missing rewards, or rewards that do not match the description, contact support so we can investigate and provide any remedy required by law. Downtime, bans, wipes or changes do not automatically extinguish those rights.
If your payment method was used without authorization, contact your payment provider immediately.
4. Disclaimer
4.1 Fan Project / No Affiliation
Lineage2.gold is a community-run, fan-made private server project. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by NCSOFT, its subsidiaries, or any official Lineage II services.
4.2 Intellectual Property
All trademarks, service marks, and copyrighted materials related to Lineage II are the property of their respective owners. Our use of references is for community identification and informational purposes.
4.3 Open Source Notice (GNU GPLv3)
Where applicable, our original server-side code, tooling, or community utilities may be distributed under the GNU General Public License GPLv3. This applies only to our own code that we have the right to license.
4.4 No Guarantee of Service
We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, error-free operation, or permanent availability of any feature, item, character, or progression.
4.5 Limitation of Responsibility
You use the Services at your own risk. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for any damages arising from use of the Services, including loss of data, account access, or virtual items.
4.6 Rights Holder Requests
If you are a rights holder and believe your intellectual property is being infringed, please contact: support@lineage2.gold. We will review and respond in good faith.
6. Community and Game Rules
These rules apply to the game and our Discord community. Discord also requires compliance with its Terms of Service and Community Guidelines. The Discord rules post summarizes this page; mandatory legal rights always remain in effect.
Discord
- Be civil. No harassment, hate speech, threats, personal attacks or impersonation of staff.
- No spam, unsolicited advertising, server invites or unsolicited promotional DMs to members.
- Use English in main channels; use designated language channels where available. Use readable, mentionable nicknames.
- Do not post private information, IP addresses, malicious links or content that violates Discord policies. Follow Discord’s minimum age requirements for your country.
- Follow reasonable moderation instructions. You may respectfully question a decision through an open-ticket support request.
In Game
- Respect other players. No harassment, threats or abusive public chat.
- No unauthorized bots, hacks or exploits. Built-in server gameplay features are allowed. Observe the 2-box dualbox cap.
- Keep credentials private and report suspected account compromise promptly. Account responsibility does not exclude our legal obligations.
- No public RMT advertising in the game or Discord. Private trades are not endorsed, guaranteed or supported by us. Reports of scams or abuse may be investigated; this is not a promise that messages are unlogged or unreviewable.
- Report exploitable bugs privately through a support ticket. Use bug-reports for non-sensitive issues; do not publish exploit steps, credentials or personal information.
Moderation and Appeals
Depending on severity and evidence, violations may lead to warnings, mutes, kicks, chat restrictions, jail, removal of illegitimate progression or items, or temporary/permanent bans. Urgent security action may be taken without advance notice. Ask for review through an open-ticket request or support@lineage2.gold. Respectful criticism and good-faith complaints are allowed. Mandatory legal and payment rights remain unaffected.
This document is intended to clarify community rules, data practices, and donation expectations. It does not grant rights to third-party intellectual property.
