1.1 Eligibility

1.2 Accounts & Security

• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
• You agree to provide accurate account information and keep it updated.
• We may suspend or terminate accounts for suspected compromise or policy violations.

1.3 Rules of Conduct

• No cheating, botting, scripting, packet modification, or exploiting bugs.
• No harassment, hate speech, doxxing, or malicious community behavior.
• No attempts to disrupt servers, evade restrictions, or abuse staff or players.
• We may take action without prior notice to protect service integrity.

1.4 Service Changes & Availability

• The Services are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.
• We may modify, reset, wipe, rebalance, or discontinue features at any time.
• There is no guarantee of uptime, character persistence, item permanence, or progression continuity.

1.5 Virtual Items & Progression

• Characters, progression, currencies, and virtual items have no real-world monetary value.
• You receive a revocable, non-transferable permission to access in-game features as part of the Services.
• You do not own in-game items, currencies, or characters, and they may be modified, removed, or reset.
• We may correct errors, remove illegitimate items, or rollback accounts when necessary.

1.6 Donations

The server is free-to-play. We may accept voluntary donations to support hosting, development, protection, and maintenance costs.

• Donations are not required to access the core Services.
• Any in-game items or benefits (e.g., Donate Medals) are provided as a thank-you and do not represent a purchase of goods or services.
• Donation acknowledgments may change, be rebalanced, be replaced, or be removed as part of server adjustments, security actions, or resets.
• We reserve the right to refuse or limit donations at our discretion.

1.7 No Refunds

Because contributions are donations used to support ongoing costs, all donations are final and non-refundable to the fullest extent permitted by law.

1.8 Chargebacks & Payment Disputes

Initiating a chargeback or payment dispute may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account and access to the Services. We may restrict future access to donation features to protect the project from abuse.

1.9 Intellectual Property & Third-Party Rights

We respect the rights of third-party owners. The Services are a fan-made community project. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by NCSOFT or any related entities.

Any open-source licensing (including GNU GPLv3) applies only to our original server-side code or community tools we distribute under that license. It does not grant rights to any third-party game assets, trademarks, or copyrighted content owned by others.

1.10 Termination

• We may suspend or terminate your access for violations, security risks, or operational needs.
• Termination may result in loss of characters, items, or progress without compensation.

1.11 Disclaimer of Warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and uninterrupted service.

1.12 Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, characters, or virtual items.

1.13 Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.

1.14 Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Services after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

The Services are free-to-play. We may accept voluntary donations to support server costs.

• All donations are final and non-refundable to the fullest extent permitted by law.
• Donation-based acknowledgments (e.g., Donate Medals) are thank-you rewards and may be adjusted, replaced, suspended, or removed due to balance changes, resets, or operational needs.
• We do not provide refunds for lost items, rollbacks, bans, wipes, downtime, or gameplay changes.

If your payment method was used without authorization, contact your payment provider immediately.

4.1 Fan Project / No Affiliation

Lineage2.gold is a community-run, fan-made private server project. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by NCSOFT, its subsidiaries, or any official Lineage II services.

4.2 Intellectual Property

All trademarks, service marks, and copyrighted materials related to Lineage II are the property of their respective owners. Our use of references is for community identification and informational purposes.

4.3 Open Source Notice (GNU GPLv3)

Where applicable, our original server-side code, tooling, or community utilities may be distributed under the GNU General Public License GPLv3. This applies only to our own code that we have the right to license.

4.4 No Guarantee of Service

We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, error-free operation, or permanent availability of any feature, item, character, or progression.

4.5 Limitation of Responsibility

You use the Services at your own risk. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for any damages arising from use of the Services, including loss of data, account access, or virtual items.
